Physics Minor
Description
Physics
and technology go hand in hand, with physics providing the foundation
for a broad range of technical fields. This minor is intended to encourage
you to expand your understanding of physics beyond the introductory level,
to deepen your understanding of fundamental principles, and to enhance
your ability to keep abreast of an ever-changing technological world.
Depending on your choice of 300/400-level physics courses, a total of 19-23
hours is required.

| PHYS 213 (2 hrs) | PHYS 211; credit or concurrent registration in MATH 242 |
| or PHYS 214 (2 hrs) | PHYS 212 |
| PHYS 325 (3 hrs) | Credit or concurrent registration in PHYS 212 and MATH 385 |
| and any two 300/400-level physics courses, excluding PHYS 419 (6-10 hrs) |

Declaring the Physics Minor
- Read the information about minors on the Provost website.
- Print the Statement of Intent to Pursue an Undergraduate Minor form.
- Get departmental approval from Prof. Gary Gladding, 229 Loomis Lab. You can schedule an appointment with him by calling or emailing Cindy Hubert at 244-6225 or chubert@illinois.edu.
- Want to modify the minor? Fill out the Minor's Modification Form and have it approved by Prof. Gladding.
